PLANE CRASH UPDATE
The Air Sunshine twin engine Cessna 402 which crashed on 13th July in the waters off Basin Harbour was raised on 3rd August and taken by barge to the the US where the National Transportation Safety Board would inspect the aircraft and begin an investigation. This investigation is expected to take about nine months.
Dead as a result of the accident are 33 year old Diane Jane Parker-Diaz who was buried in Miami Lakes on 25th July; and her four year old niece Dianté Parker, who was buried in Crown Haven on 26th July.
Air Sunshine has been banned from providing service to The Bahamas until the investigation is over.
Two lawsuits have been filed in Miami federal court on behalf of Mrs Diaz husband, Elio Diaz, and Cindy Lakeisha Parker, Diantés mother.
