PRESTON FOX

Funeral services for Preston Fox, 80, of Blackwood were held at Saviour's Anglican Church, Blackwood, on 23rd October. Officiating was Fr Kendal McKenzie, assisted by Catechist Euclid Baillou. Interment was in Blackwood Cemetery.

Mr Fox is survived by his sister, Delores Aranha; aunt, Martha Taylor; uncle, Reginald Meeres; and a host of nieces, nephews, and their families; plus the entire Blackwood and north Abaco community.

AGNES GUAY

Agnes (Costa) Guay, 56, formerly of Armsby Street, New
Bedford, Massachusetts, died unexpectedly Saturday16th October, at home in Bahama Palm Shores. She was the beloved wife of Ronald N Guay; they were married 18 years.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late David and Julia
(Rodericks) Costa, she lived in the city most of her life until she
moved to Abaco three years ago. She formerly was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Fairhaven, Massachusetts.

Mrs Guay formerly worked for the New England Telephone Co.
She was very much involved in Children's Ministry in Abaco and, when she
lived in New Bedford, she was very active in Birthright of New Bedford
and various other community services.

Survivors include her widower; two sons, Timothy D Bowen, and his wife,
Maureen Bowen, of Acushnet, Massachusetts, and Patrick F Bowen of California;
four step-children, Sharon Patneaude, Robynne White and David Guay, all
of Taunton, Massachusetts, and Jennifer Guay of Ludlow, Massachusetts; five brothers, Dr. David Costa and Gilbert Costa, both of New Bedford, Albert Costa of
California, Daniel Costa of Acushnet and Joseph Costa of Florida; four
sisters, Elsie Winsper and Elizabeth Martin, both of New Bedford, Julia
Pires of Fairhaven and Sister Mary Kateri Costa, RSM, of Rhode
Island; and three grandchildren, Kylie Bowen, Zachary Bowen and Michael
Bowen, all of Acushnet. She was the sister of the late Elaine Ferreira.

Her funeral was held Saturday 23rd October at the Rock Funeral Home, 1285
Ashley Boulevard, New Bedford. The family request that any contributions to the memory of Agnes Guay be sent to Creole Gospel Chapel Sunday School, PO Box AB-20074, Marsh Harbour, Abaco
JOHN NEUFORTH

After an extended illness, John Neuforth,79, passed away at John Fitzgerald Kennedy Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida, on 18th September.

A long time resident of Treasure Cay, Mr Neuforth is survived by Marilyn, his wife of 56 years, daughters Elaine and Patty, and son Charles. He also leaves three grandchildren. Everyone who knew John loved him..
