The Annual Treasure Cay Yard Sale was held in beautiful weather on the village green on Saturday 9th March. There were several stalls which seemed to have everything except the kitchen sink. Then, on closer observation, there was a kitchen sink!
The obvious strategy for the yard sale is to come early for many of the choicest items were taken up in short order. In addition to sale items there was a food tent manned by the Bahamian ladies of Treasure Cay. There was also a seafood stall which attracted much custom.
At the same time as the yard sale there was an open day at Rose Mary Roberts Community Library and a lovely selection of books was on sale at rock-bottom prices.
Over $2,400 was realised from the ventures, which will go to the purchase of new books and other library equipment.
