I am getting married in Hopetown in May 2000. While my fiancee and I have been to Abaco many times, the wedding is creating challenges that our typical fishing trips in the past have not!! With that in mind, I have the following questions: 1. We have a few guests who will be staying on GTC. On the wedding day, how can we get them from GTC to EC and back in the same day (they don't have a boat)? Ferry from GTC to mainland, then taxi to MH, then ferry to EC??? Who do we contact to arrange this? Ferry Companies? Taxi companies?? 2. We have some elderly grandparents arriving MH airport. Which taxi company has some nice AIR CONDITIONED cabs to get them from airport to Albury Ferry, so that grandma doesn't pass out and die before she sees her grandson get married!?! 3. We plan on having about 50 people at a CASUAL party at our house on EC the evening before the wedding. Where should we go to "provision" for a party? Is there a good liquor store in MH? Grocery store in MH? or is the grocery in Hopetown just as good? Are there any restaurants that will cater a party like this? 4. Our biggest problem appears to be getting our 50 - 70 guests from the church in Hopetown to the southern end of EC where the reception will be held at the Abaco Inn. We had planned on chartering a ferry, but Albury Ferry is reluctant to run into the Abaco Inn's channel at night. Apparently it is not well marked. What are our options? (a) Somehow get the channel marked? Will the government do it? (yea right!) Would it be inconceivable for me to purchase several mooring buoys and put them down the edges of the channel myself the day of the wedding?? Does anyone have any experience with the management at Abaco Inn? In your opinion would they be willing to mark the channel themselves? I mean, how difficult would it be to mark this channel? During the day it seems rather easy to navigate, a few markers would seem to be sufficient. (b) In the event the ferry can't run, are there enough (any) taxis on EC which could get 70 people down to the Abaco Inn?
