No, you would catch a very hard time trying to just pull the critter out. You either have to hang it and let it dry and fall out (YUK) or you have to know just where to crack the shell, then you can pull him out.

Then you have to clean him. You will need a sharp knife. If you have only seen conch in the stores, you will be surprised as to how they look just out of the shell.

Then you have to 'bruise' him with a meat tenderizer (hammer with grides on it) although you can use other objects like the side of a saucer or bottom of a bottle.

There are many recipes for conch. What are you interested in???
