Thank you all for your comments. As you all know, Nippers and Great Guana Cay has grown by leaps and bounds in the past two years.

My intentions through this growing period has been to keep our island free from watch dogs, police, and having a "million signs" saying : "No you can't do this or do that. " etc... This is part of the resaon why you all come here to get away. The atmosphere here has always been self-control and you know your limits.

However, my family and I have noticed in the past weeks that a small minority of patrons coming to our island have a hard time with their own self-control and are getting carried away. My family and myself put an immediate stop to the behavior and to any other incidences as soon as we learn about them. By no means do I want to desolve the free and relaxed atmosphere of our island or any other islands of the Abacos.

I apologize for the discomforts that seem to have evolved from our good intentions. Taking in consideration of all your suggestions I am putting together some new guidelines and restrictions that I am sure will eliminate all of these concerns.

Please be patient with me and know that I am as concerned as you all are.

I also feel that the "Concerned Guana Cay Citizens" should have presented their facts/concerns to me personally. Then we could all as a group discuss what measures can be taken.

No matter where you go there will always be isolated incidences. We will do our best to curb these problems in a different direction.

Yours truly,

Johnny Roberts
