Nancy; Can't agree with you more. I think the locals owe it to their children to have a big pow-wow with the powers that be on Guana, a few constables from Abaco, the owners of Nippers, local businessmen/women, parents, and decide what is appropriate and inappropriate behavior by the visiting tourists. If you read my message(Robert), a few uniformed policemen with powers of arrest and seizure, who are also bonded for liability by the Bahamian Govt., could do beat patrols along the streets of the settlement, and also do "walk-throughs" at Nippers. They can offer unruly tourists an option of: (1) Be on the next ferry, and escort them to the docks, (2) Arrest them immediately and escort them to the ferry docks in handcuffs, or (3) Please shape up and have a good time...but you are now on warning. Codes of conduct can be established, with Glenn at Guana Seaside Village, and they can be enforced. I agree, the total cut-loose freedom on the get-away from responsibility mentality, with no restrictions + too much alcohol = inappropriate behavior. The local citizen-elected power structure on Guana rules, and citizens and their children come first, tourists second. Don't be worried about losing tourists dollars; the island is so beautiful that tourists(the right kind of) will always flock there. By the way, I'm shipping Chere Pinder some neat informal assessments for her teacher(s) to use for the All-Age School students. Do you want a copy of them?? Please advise. Robert
