We went to Nippers once in April, mostly because we had read such wild tales here on the board. Maybe we just caught it at an uncharacteristically dull time - it was on a weekday. We were there a couple of hours, had lunch and drinks, and the atmosphere was pretty much like other waterside bars/restaurants we went to, though the architecture was more distinctive and elaborate. The only offensive thing we saw were several people in thong bathing suits -- not that we care that people choose to show their backsides, but most backsides (except for the perfect ones of the models in the catalogs) are pretty ungly!!! "CYA" in this case would've been a matter of good taste.
