Hi LS,

Great suggestions already!!

Try popping into Treasure Cay!! It has a lot to offer for several hours or several days!!! First of all, it is very protected water. The anchorages are well displayed in the photo on page 50 in the 2000 Edition Of The Crusing Guide to Abaco Bahamas, by Steve Dodge.

You would be about a two minute dinghy ride to the docks. There you will have access to many things. You can resupply from the grocery/bakery/liqour stores. You can eat at Spinnaker's Restaurant at the Marina. You can enjoy great drinks at The Tipsy Seagull which overlooks the nice freshwater pool (jump in for a swim!!) and the Marina. Call up "A Touch of Class" restaurant on the VHF 16/68 and arrange a complimentary van pickup out in the main parking lot. There, you will enjoy complimentary conch fritters and delicious Johhny Cake!! Along with great local food. Take a 5 minute walk across the street from the T/Cay Marina to the World Class beach!! There you can enjoy food and drinks at Coco Beach Bar.

Need some laundry done? Check out the laundromat just up from the bakery! T/Cay also has a very well equipped Ship's Store as well as John Cash's Dive Shop next to the Seagull. Keep in mind that all of these shops are within a two minute walk from the waterfront hotel and marina. Dial up www.treasurecay.com for more great info.

Another great spot to stop by, would be Great Guana Cay. You can anchor in the main harbour and dink into the docks. If you go to the center dock and a guy/girl in a golf cart offers you a ride to Nipper's, TAKE IT!!! What a spot!! Also CoCo Paradise is just down the beach from Nipper's and has some dynamite burgers from what I hear. Shops, grocery etc are along the waterfront as well.

What kind of boat will you be on? Where in the states will you be departing from? There will be many Board members in the Abacos while you are there so ask around at any bars etc. Just watch out for some guy that is peddling T-Shirts!!! That would be "THE AbacoWilly"!!!

Have a great trip!! We've got 5 days to go!!
