Sea Spray and the Abaco Inn are really very different types of properties, and having stayed at both, I would return to the Sea Spray. The Sea Spray accomodations are more cottage-like, with cooking facilities, so if you like independence to make your own meals when you want them, that's perfect. They have porches or decks, and either look out over White Sound or the ocean. The Abaco Inn is more traditionally like a hotel, on a spectacular site, although I didn't exactly get to see the best it had to offer (Fair warning: if you read my trip report -- which you can get through the archives here, or on my personal website at www.homestead.com/islandtime/MainPage1.html -- you will also find that I was a little disenchanted, and a lot disappointed, with my experience at the Abaco Inn, and so my recommendation may be colored by that. However, that being said, I still think Sea Spray is great, with delightful hosts and a great location.)
