Hey Tammie, Again, if you're interested in catching bonefish then you're not going to have a lot of luck on the east side of the island. First, your 21' foot deep vee boat will not go where you need to be to find bonefish. Second, there aren't as many good spots on the east side as there are in the Marls. And third, if you don't know where to go you will not find them. If you insist on trying then you're only hope is to anchor the boat and walk back into the likely areas. But be prepared for a VERY arduous day with probably little if any sightings of bones. On our first trip to Abaco this is what we did. We didn't know the area, where to go, or what to do. There were four of us and we caught one bonefish in three days of hard going. Then we hired guides to take us to the Marls. We caught over a hundred in the same period. In fact on one day we caught 50 between the four of us! If you're not willing to hire guides then I would skip the bonefishing and just stick with catching barracuda, grouper, snapper, etc in the sound. Otherwise you're going to waste your time and be very disappointed. I don't think the guides will care if you spin cast instead of fly cast. Your money is just as good however you decide to fish!
