Hi Carol, I doubt if your Nov winds had any thing to do with any leftover effect from Floyd, but no doubt, due to the incoming cold fronts that sweep from the Northewest of US/Canada down to the Southeast US/Bahamas. If they are on time, they pass through about every five days. The winds before, during and after the cold front passage will be kicked up a notch or two (or three!). There will usually be one day of somewhat calmer winds and seas in the middle of two fronts, but one day out of five may make it seem continuos!! If they are running closer than every five days, then you ought to plan on some shore based activities! The fronts can start as early as late Sept/early Oct and continue well into May!! They can also start later in the fall and quit earlier in the Spring. One never knows about ol' Mom Nature. The good news is that the National Hurricane Forecast Center in Colorado (can you figure that one out?????) has predicted a somewhat less active hurricane season for this year. The season runs from June 1st through Nov. 1st. Hoping for sunny skies and light breezes! Gary M
