Takes me right back. Prevailing wisdom is Whale Cay passages deserve a LOT of respect and should be avoide in any kind of blow with an E in it.
As a sail charter we did not have the luxury of the inside route.I can remember some very steep but not quite breaking wavesa nd an anxious moment
or two while I learned the value of this.
