Hi everyone, We just got back from another trip to The Abacos, the fishing was the best we have ever had. We Bonefished with "Fish Abaco" and caught 64 Bonefish, We were in large schools of tailing fish all day, every day. The wind blew hard a couple days but Jr. always seemed to be able to find a lee side we could fish. Most of the Bones were small, three or four lb. fish, but we caught six or seven large fish of eight or nine pounds. I have never seen as many Permit in Abaco as we did on this trip, We caught two small ones, but they are harder to tempt with a fly than the Bones. The sharks were thick in The Marls, and took a couple of our Bonefish, oh well, I guess we all have to eat. We also went out trolling two afternoons and caught some nice Dolphin and one 80 pound Yellowfin Tuna, not bad for quick two hour afternoon trips. We caught all the dolphin and the Tuna "stand up" style from a 17 foot center consol. They had bigger boats but said it would be more fun from these boats, they were right! The native guides are amazing with their fishing and boating skills. We are heading back down next Tuesday for two weeks, We will spend most of this trip offshore, trolling for Tuna, Dolphin and Marlin. The guides at Fish Abaco are the greatest, they even took our wives out one afternoon after fishing so they could learn to catch and clean conch and just do some sightseeing. While out they saw sea turtles, sharks and a pod of Dolphins(the mammal) that circled the drifting boat within 15 feet!! That is the closest any of us have ever been to a wild Dolphin. The girls also visited a bluehole and got to see plenty of nice Crawfish (Lobster) thru the glass bottom bucket. Hope this gives you all something to look forward to. See ya, Red
