Steve's right, we did offer internet access cards for a while but
we had to drop them for a variety of reasons, the main one being the
impossibility of supporting Win9x users visting here, we have enough
problems with that nightmare for our full time customers.

The good news is that

1) the BaTelCo lines have improved in quality to the point where it
is technically feasible to call your regular ISP (AOL or whomever) as
a long distance call, even though it is expensive. But for email only
and a short visit it is quite practical, all things considered.

2) Where phones are available (and they are still scarce here) many
clubs, marinas and cottage rentals have an account with us (oii.net)
or with BaTelNet that guests can share and avoid the long distance charges.
These places are also knowledgeable enough to help guests set up the
necessary software to access the 'net through the local account. Ask
before you come if such a service is offered.

3) In Marsh Harbour the Public Library offers 'net access either through
their computers or yours for a modest donation. Check the Cruiser's Net
(VHF 68 0815) for the hours.

4) Finally, if you are a part time resident, and wish a regular account
with us, the months that you are not here (and keep your account active) fund
our school access accounts that effectively provide unlimited access for the
teachers and computer labs without charge to the schools.
