The new 200 pair cable has been installed from Town to the Green Turtle Club.
Most phones are back on,now. Not all, but most. A new cable (100 pair, I think) is yet to be pulled in the existing conduit from the last pole at the Green Turtle Club around to the Bluff House and Joyless Point (Dolphin Marine area). I am told by Mr. Kenneth Stewart, of Batelco, that this phase should begin next week. When this is completed, we will have an entirely new cable, 200 pairs as far as Green Turtle Club and 100 pairs around to Bluff House and Joyless Point. All Multiplexer (CM-8)_units are being removed (these played havoc with modems and credit card machines). I am also told that those people who have made previous application for new installations and those who have applied for second lines should soon be taken care of, now that the lines are available. Things are looking up!
