Off-shore snorkeling--which island is best?Diving?

My research indicated that Great Guana Cay would probably have the best off-shore snorkeling. We are taking our nine-year-old daughter, who is a fairly good swimmer, and has snorkeled before. Comparing Great Guana Cay, Green Turtle Cay, and Elbow Cay, which would be the best for off-shore snorkeling? Should we rethink our decision about GGC? While I'm at it, which island is best for diving? We would like to do shore diving and some boat diving.
